Superior is a small historical copper mining town founded in 1882 located on the fringe of the Phoenix metropolitan area and now on the path of progress to become the next place to be. Superior is home to my roots. Four generations: one great grandmother, two grandmothers, and two grandfathers are interred in Superior. My Grandmother was born in Morenci, Arizona. My Grandfather was born in San Miquel Horticasitas, Sonora Mexico. My other Grandfather was born in Madrid, Spain. My Mom and I were born and raised in Superior. My Dad in Jerome. I went to High School in Globe and after the US Army, I went to work underground at Magma Copper Company in Superior for one year returning three summers in between school. Someday my Dad, Mom and I will join other family members in the Superior cemetery.
